Young Hare by Albrecht Dürer

A watercolor of a hare crouching on the paper, so detailed you can see every single hair, the whiskers, and even the reflection of a window in its eye.

Dürer probably painted it in his studio from a live animal, or perhaps a dead one. Watercolor is fragile, so the original in Vienna is shown only occasionally, for a few months at a time.
