The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne by Leonardo da Vinci

Mary sits on the lap of her mother, Saint Anne, and leans forward to hold the infant Jesus, who is grabbing a lamb. Leonardo worked on the painting for well over a decade and never finished it.

Look at the misty mountains behind them and the soft, pyramid-shaped group. Sigmund Freud famously claimed to see the shape of a vulture hidden in Mary’s blue robe.
