The Church at Auvers by Vincent van Gogh

In the summer of 1890 Van Gogh moved to Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris. He painted the village church from behind, under a deep cobalt sky, with a path that splits in two around it. A woman walks away from us.

He died in Auvers about seven weeks after painting it. Look at the walls of the church, which seem to bend and sway, while the path in the sunlight is almost solid orange.
