Quadrille at the Moulin Rouge by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

A dancer stands in the middle of the Moulin Rouge, hands on her hips, waiting for the quadrille to begin. Around her, men in top hats and women in big hats chat.

Toulouse-Lautrec painted it in 1892 on cardboard, with quick strokes of thinned paint. He sat at this dance hall almost every night.
