Collection/1400s

The three kings and a huge crowd of followers come to worship the newborn Jesus, in a round painting full of color. A peacock sits on the stable roof as a symbol of eternal life.
Two Florentine masters, Fra Angelico and Filippo Lippi, worked on it around 1440–60. It appears in the 1492 inventory of the Medici family.
